Please help diagnose this problem, i need an answer

My car revs up too quickly with partial throttle, to the point where if i hold the partial throttle the revs keep on rising. It feels that the throttle has become so sensitive that when i touch the pedal the car revs up and keeps on revving with steady and very light pressure on the gas pedal. What is wrong with my car??? the engine running at a much higher rpm with very little pressure on the gas pedal in each gear? any solutions?

Try adjusting the throttle cable. There are some adjustment nuts on the UIM to do this.

..if the car is not accelerating relative to the rising rpms...your clutch is slipping
