I need some info. my rx-7 is acting up AGAIN. This is the problem i hope someone can help me. When i got the car it was running great, then I started to get a constant blow off from my bov. After that i started to get a bad jerk and a big back fire when i go over 5psi. Last week the jerk and back fire went away but i still have the contant blow off but my rx7 was running great again. This past sunday the problem is back again, when i go over 5psi i get a jerk like hesitation and when i get off the gas i get a big back fire . Can someone please help me fix this problem?

The sluggish problem with no greater than 5 psi, sounds like your ECU's going in to "Limp home mode" -> Pull codes. Is the check engine light coming on? http://www.scuderiaciriani.com/rx7/engine_codes.html

What mods are on the car?

When was the last time you had the following looked at or changed:

spark plugs
spark plug wires
fuel filter
O2 senor

Are you still running the stock pre-cat and main cat?

 

i just did my tune up last month and my rx7 is stock right now

 

get that pre-cat out of there, get an aluminum AST while you're at it

 

update. i disconected my battery for o couple of hours then i reconected it and me rx7 is running fine again. What is wrong with my car?
