Ok I must be a moron ... what is this plastic crap that comes with the Cusco front strut bar? On the picture that comes with the Japanese instructions it shows it wrapped around the passender side of the bar where the bar goes over the intake ... but it makes no sense. For one if you just wrap it around there it falls off after 1 decent ride around the block. And wtf is it supposed to do? It's not like the bar is going to cut through the intake pipe or something. Someone enlighten me!

 

i have the same bar too. i thought it was to protect the intake hose from the bar. not sure though. my intake hose was touching the bottom of the bar a little. had the plastic piece in between and the plastic started to melt and it stretched out. so i just pulled it off. no problems after that. stupid little thing!
