Thanks for your comments. I'm tempted by the Lotus from time to time and may give in eventually. But the FD is the better car for a long drive so I've held back.
IMO opinion, it's the power steering that is the major cause of the numb feeling.
It's overboosted. In the 99+ cars they introduced a valve that reduces the steering assist. It's always surprised me that aftermarket suppliers didn't offer that here for a retrofit, but I've never heard that they have

Seriously don't change a cosmetic thing on that car. Seriously. Another really pretty FD. Love the wheels/paint/everything.
The guy that built it up did it right
Wow!!! That's one of the nicest FD's I've ever seen! Great photographs too; what kind of camera did you use?

An un-capped vacuum nipple would probably not cause this condition. Not to mention that car has no emissions on it that I can see, so you will have a row of uncapped vacuum nipples that go through the LIM.
And you say bad air pump, but did you know that you don't have an air pump?
Either way, very nice car. Love the color.

Disconnect the tps and see what happens. The PFC doesn't really need it.It's possible it's a vacuum leak but normally on a single FD you can hear and find em pretty quick and the idle would usually just run high not bounce.
But my idle isnt bouncing?

The car is clean, I'd do a few things differently. Get rid of the mazda speed logo and get a new RX-7 one. Get some efini emblems instead of the bird. 99 spec front bumper, oem sideskirts, paint the black rear trim the color of the car, shave the rear wiper and antenna, and polish up the engine bay. Also theres a gap between the rear bumper and fender on the passenger side. Nice car, everyones idea of perfect is different but it's def. one of the nicer ones on the forum.

Sweet Ride for sure. About your idle and stuff. I would check the AWS. Mine's capped off because I have the Greddy Elbow and if I try to start my car in neutral the idle sky rockets to about 2k to 3k. As long as I start it in first and bypass the AWS the car sits at 800rpm. Might not be your problem but just a suggestion.

We have the same wheels..... But your I beleive are the Profil Mirror finish while mine are the clear coated machined finish and your look superb compared to mine
Very nice car, also wait till you get some brake dust on the Fikse's they are a b**ch to clean hint* find a good wheel brush.
Again beautiful car,
Alex
