pineapple racing 5 year warranty

Can you still get this warranty if you modify your car? It looks like it if he gives the warranty on a ported motor. Anyone know?

Pineapple Racing is located in Portland, Oregon. Here's a link to their web site:

http://www.pineappleracing.com/

I've heard nothing but praise about the quality of their work, their attention to customer satisfaction, and their prices. When it comes time that I need an engine rebuild, Pineapple will get my business!

At the moment, he's just about out of 89-95 core motors...so if anyone wants to get rid of that pyle of junk in the corner, you should drop him a e-mail. Rob is the man....thats all there is to it. CJ

I can't rightfully speak of whether his rebuilds are as great as everyone says they are, as mine is at his shop right now. But, I fully expect that they are.

I can also vouch for the fact that Rob is a really nice fella that'll more than answer any questions you have in an extremely friendly and intelligent manner.

yes indeed, rob IS the man, he build a hell of an engine so i don't think he has to replace many on the warranty, but if something does happen i don't think he would have any problem replacing it.

he even gave me an old stock clutch to put in my FC, loaned me an alignment tool, and spent like 20 min giving me tips. he's always got time to explain things, and answer questions.

in conclusion, i like pineapples.

i would go to him just for how nice and quick he responded. the warranty and knowldege lured me in the customer satsifaction hooked me. when my engine goes, its being sent to pineapple for some goodies. its kinda weird, but i cant wait for it to blow.

On his site where it says services price list. And in the chart it has this: 93-95 13B-REW TT $1900 $2400. The 1900 under a 2Y/24K warranty and 2400 under 5Y/60K warranty. What exactly are these prices for? Just a warranty, or a rebuilt motor with a warranty?

Expensive, hah! Those prices include new rotor housings. That $2400 motor would cost probably $3500-4000 from most well known builders. The extra $500 for the 5 yr motor is cheap for what you get extra too. I also feel more confident in Rob than most of the other well-knowns. Ari from RP doesn't call him "the Man" for nothing.

My motor is being shipped there next week for a rebuild.

keep in mind....he also says a good core. Wich basically means (I think) a good rotating mass. That means, good rotors, e-shaft etc. CJ

I am all the way in Canada and have heard good things from pineapple. In fact, i have even seen him at the racetracks with customer support and advice to anyone who asks. He's a true enthusiast, not after a fast buck.

Ok guys I have sent two motors to him he is timely, more than helpful, and does excellent work at a good price. It cost me $2900 for my motor with stage three oil/ mods hardend gears a very aggressive streetport matched for my application (we both spent considerable time on the phone discussing it) hardend gearset one new rotor housing 3mm seals and I don't know what else I forgot. He is one of the best kept secrets out there, the other motor needed to new housings and still only cost me $3300 thats pretty damn good when you consider what every one else is asking.I do believe the 5yr warranty requires the cryo treatment. Thats not too bad since most can't get barely any warranty at all.
