i just got out my pilot bearing and it was really easy.... you can rent a kit at pepboys that comes with a slide hammer and 4 different heads. the second head fits perfect and pulled out my pilot bearing really easily. its 130.00 to rent but you get your money back when you return it.

this is just for future searches... don't bother buying the real tool, this one works perfect!
