Don't make plans to drive your car for a few days as this will require a lot of patience. If you have the repair manual, use it! Make sure to follow the diagrams, and mark where the hoses go. Use nail polish to mark the location of the hoses and do one at a time.
I got all of my hoses at Baker's Performance down in Signal Hill. I used the thickest 4mm hose they had, since it will not collapse on tight bends, and it handles the heat much better than the thin ones.

hey jet lag thanks man would like to know if baker performance has a link and could you supply more pics if its not to hard most of all i would like to know how to take out the rats nest, and when i do is that were most of the hoses are. i see that you used polish but in what way did you use them, red for what , yellow for what,black i think you used thanks for your help

I just made dots-to-dot location, meaning that before I remove the stock hose, I marked where it surpose to go from point A to point B.
I used different color to check my work after a curtain section were done.
I did break the AWS. Don't need it anyways.
With the single turbo you only need about 5 vac hoses.

mine looks exactly like jetlags. baker performance has a site, i think it is www.bakerprecision.com . if that doesnt work, im sure somebody else has the right link. there are some excellent reference sites out there, including rob robinnette's site and scudierani racing (i am pretty sure i spelled them both wrong), that help guide you through the process and have links to vacuum diagrams, etc. somebody post the links to these sites for this guy...

Yes, MazdaTrix get their hoses from Baker's and pad the price. I'm only 6minutes away from Baker, so this is like a Toys R Us to me.
The first few pictures are of seq turbo hose and the last one is the single turbo. I really love seeing the rotary sandwich.

Check out Hose Techniques as well - I have heard that they have a nice product (which is specifically cut for the rex). Here is the website:

I haven't gotten my pictures developed yet (the digi cam was on the fritz, so I had to use the old fashioned 35mm). But, there is some great pics along with a pretty decent write up in the how-to section at Daves site. Thats the site that I referenced a lot while doing mine.

Oh yeah, just in case you wanted to know, I used the hosetechniques kit, too. Works quite well in my opinion, and they send you PLENTY of hose.
Just take your time and do it right (took me almost a week of working on it during the afternoons/evenings).
