Pics of Turbo-PreControl and Wastegate solenoid/connector. White dot?
Pics of Turbo-PreControl and Wastegate solenoid/connector. White dot?
In this link http://www.autosportracetech.com/RX-...leshooting.htm , it states
I am having this boost problem. When I took a look at the soleniods, this is what I saw.

From that article, this is what it should look like instead right?

For those of you that are about to say that I should switch the connectors and see if my problem is cured, I broke the nipple on the Turbo Pre-Control soleniod (HELLA BRITTLE!) by trying to remove a hose from it. So I'm currently waiting for a pair of soleniods to get delivered (should have been here by today
). I just wanted to make sure if the white slash on the connector, is the white dot that the article is referring to since the other connector doesnt have it.
Thanks in advance.

Edit: yes I know my pics don't work lol. DAMN IT!. Sorry everyone... ignore this thread
Wastegate and Turbo Pre-Control Solenoids
- If you are getting a solid 6 psi from 4,500 RPM up, Check the electrical connections to these two solenoids, as they can get mixed up while working on the engine. From the front of the car, the right hand solenoid and the electrical connector of the engine electrical harness have a painted white dot, these two go together. Note that over time these painted white dots tend to dissapear.

I came up with a way to remember - "white is right" - put the white connector on the solenoid on the right.
Thought I was crafty on that one
.
Anyhow, that white slash is very likely the mark - there's no other reason for a white mark to be there.
