Sure it can be driven like that...

Here is mine with the Tein S springs and 9.5 X 17 Forgelines w/255X40 tires, front and rear (forgot the offset, bought them a long time back). These wheels are still from 1994/5, from my first R1. Clearance is fine, the only time it slighltly touches the inner fender liner when the steering is cranked all the way over.

Can anyone recommend a set of shocks that work well with these Teins? I used the Tokico adjustable with my first FD with RB springs. I raced on those and they worked good but, the Teins are stiffer by a fair amount. I still have the stock Touring shocks on the car as of now. (48 K miles on them)

I'm using the Tokicos with them for track and street.

Thanks. No, I didn't roll the fenders myself. A friend of a friend who works at a body shop did it for me. Charged me nothing but I gave him $20 for taking the time after work to do it.

I actually had them bend it flush on the back side, not just roll it back a little. It did damage the painta little, but I had planned to repaint it soon so I didn't care at that time. It seems that paint job just keeps getting pushed away further every day.

It's because the stock tires/wheels aren't wide enough to really show off the drop.

I can tell you it's more than the advertised 1.3".

However, anything lower really isn't practical unless it's a show car that never gets driven.

I had no problems with the rear, so only the fronts were rolled. I do plan on rolling the rear before it gets painted.

Here is your info

Here is the E-Bay link where I got those C-West lights. You might want to contact them for info on buying a set. I purchased my set from them in Nov 2005. Super easy install, if you just install the lights and throw away the special wiring harness for the strobe lights and blue accent light. Fits easy without the cutting of the chassis and wire it right up to your standard light plugs in minutes.

Edit: looks like the link got truncated. See what happens if I brake the link into 3 lines. If does not work, just do an e-bay search for "raceonusa" or call them at 1-866-304-5464. I think I paid around $600 with shipping.
