damn that car is sweet. Just get the 99 front lip and the R1 spoiler, that will make it look realy nice. When did u get the car and how much did u pay when you got it? Miles and any problems when u got it?

i got the car 7 months ago and paid 23k for it, it came with 16k miles and a clutch that had the **** beaten out of it. that was the only problem, other than that this car is flawless and I do my best to keep it so.

If you are in a state that doesn't require, or lets you get away with no front plate, then don't get the OEM 99 spoiler. It has a hideous built in plate holder.

There are plenty of 99 clones out there of good quality.

If you want something different, get the 99 rear spoiler, not the R1 rear spoiler.

I would lower it and get either the 99 lip or r1 lip.... then do a LOT of research on cost/weight of each type of rim

Simply beautiful. Some nice black opals would look great on your car. Just a 99 lip and I think your FD looks great wingless, and it'll look great w/ a wing too.

You were lucky enough to find a low mileage FD (and lucky enough to be able to afford it); don't **** it up by putting a body kit on it. Please.

No chin spoiler or no wing == not an R-trim FD.

I think it's current body and wheels look great.

do us all a favor and DO NOT RICE OUT YOUR CAR !!!

Wheels are acceptable, but no body kits PLEASE!!!!

It is gorgeous. If anything just put on some OEM/JDM items like front/rear spoilers, taillight upgrades, etc.

If you want to "body kit" the car go find a red/montego blue 1993 base model that is beaten and fix it up.

my $.02

you should at least do the reliability mods. Plus a r1/r2 chin spoiler up front would make it look a lot nicer Overall great looking car!

I'm sure Northwest RX-7 was talking about the body.

Keep it stock, the FD is sooo sexy stock...maybe just some rims...of course put your first $$$'s into reliability mods so you can keep that beautiful machine running for many many more years!!!

Don't rice it out like this one!!! LOL

oh, wait, I guess rice doesn't come in 500rwhp flavors...

Everyone has their own style.. I guess RE Amemiya and FEED are rice shops!! LOL

But I agree.. I debated going w/ a body kit for awhile..

as long as you keep it clean.. and do all the reliability mods...

Thanks for all the compliments guys
Don't worry I'm no tasteless ricer, I won't rice this car out, I wouldn't be able to live with myself. I definitely won't do any body work until it's pushing over 400 hp, like nocab said, rice doesn't come in that flavor. I do want to change the wheels, I was thinking about some Advan model 5s or 6s. Not sure what color yet, I was thinking gunmetal or bronze? Also, the body work I will do soon will be the headlamp conversion (probably Rotary Extreme HID) and the 99 spec turn signals.

As far as reliability goes, I have already replaced the stock AST with the pettit one, and I have replaced my worn clutch with an ACT street/strip accompanied by a RB steel flywheel and B&M shifter.

This winter I plan on doing the following performance mods: Border-Racing full exhaust (burn-out type I), Blitz SUS intake with custom heat shield, and an Apex-i Power FC with commander.

and the following 'other' mods : Rotary Extreme HID head light conversion, polished pipes, UIM, LIM, throttle body, alternator, replace Cusco strut bar with black R1 strut bar, and hopefully get those wheels at least by summer time.

check www.jt-imports.com jason carries original black painted r1 strut bars, they're among his USED parts. I don't think he has any new ones.
