obviously bone stock. (except guage pod) gauges are on the way, as well as a turbo timer. Next "mods" will likely be radiator, downpipe, and a complete hose job.

Awesome, somebody did some actual research before buying the car. That's a clean slate you have there. Congrats

at the risk of sounding obsessive, I spent 3 months researching and looking for the car. I have been lurking around these forums for a lot longer than that though. I am a retard when it comes to spending more than 50 bucks. I cant help but try to know everything there is to know about whatever it is Im gonna buy. It drives my wife nuts...

thanks for the comments!

Lovely car and nice pics. No rare spoiler? Did bone stock 7s come out without it.

Take care of her.

Looks like a nice car, and those mods will def. help you out in the long run.

Listen to wan though...and don't buy a turbo timer, you don't actually need one. There are a few threads about this, but sorry i'm too lazy to look them up now for you.

Ive read the threads on this, and for the price I believe its worth it. mazda recommends a cooldown period, and I think this is a cheap easy way to ensure that happens. whether or not I am in a hurry.

there is 73k on the clock, and I believe that the 93 touring models did not come with a spoiler from the factory. I will probably put the stock r1 spoiler on though...

contradictory imho.. congrats on the ride..
amp, what do you mean by contradictory?

thanks for the comments

Ah, Silver FDs'. Those were the days. Oh well, nice car. How many miles are on it?

Touring models came without a rear spoiler. However, it was available as a dealer-installed option for every model.

just figured since you were careful on expense.. youd opt to just sit for a minute for cool down than spring for a ttimer..

Yeah, but every time you start the car you should 'manually' avoid boosting until the car is warm. That's even more important than avoiding boost before shutting down, IMO.

So it's not that hard to avoid hard boosting the last mile before you park it, and even if you don't avoid it I think on the street it's very rare that such circumstances would arise. On a track, you aren't leaving the car so you can let it idle 'manually'.

In any case, the money is much better spent elsewhere, on, say, all new OEM coolant hoses and radiator caps.

Congrats. Keep it clean. If you don't mind, how much did you pick it up for?

Oh, and welcome to the forum.
