Pics of my FD taken one evening this week.
Hi Guys,
A Mate of mine got a Nikon D50 digital SLR so couldnt resist going out and taking photos of my car with it.
And with a bit of help from Photoshop:
Hope you like the pics and more importantly the car !!!

Not the company
Really like pics 4 and 5. It's funny to see the steering wheel on the other side though. Have you thought about '99 spec taillights?
I LOVE the Nikon D50 too, tell your friend he made a great choice.
Got any more shots of the gauges for me?

Put camera on a tripod, take a pic with the hood closed and open. Take both photos in photoshop and lasso the engine bay and copy it and paste it over the hood on the other pic.

Yeah thats right, you can do the above or open the pic with bonnet open, paste the one with bonnet closed and then rub out the shut bonnet using the eraser tool and it exposes the enginebay in the pic underneath.
Its not difficult to do, you just make sure you dont move the tripod at all when taking the pics.
Cheers for the comments though chaps, I get as much fun taking pics of the car as driving it.
RX7TWINTURBOBOY I dont have anymore pics of the gauges but will take a pic of them tonight when its dark, they are Blitz AC gauges. Yeah I will be going to 99 spec lights at some point, also just bought a 99 spec spoiler and will get a 99 front bumper to match when I find a cheap one !!!
Gareth
P.S. Its weird seeing the steering wheel on the left, you guys drive with it on the wrong side lol !!!

Yeah you are right, I plan to get rid of the Efini one underneath the Rex rx-7 badge and put proper Mazda Flying M ones on.
But I havent changed the reflectors/indicators because I like them being different colours and the red/orange show up well on a black car.

This may sound a bit odd but I think as the car is so rounded and there are no sharp/square edges it makes sense to have rounded circular rear 99 spec lights.
Not convinced by the Lexus styles that are kicking around at the moment.

Cheers for the comments guys.
Nah the steering wheel is on the proper side........as it should be lol
Used to have much lower suspension on the front so it sat about an inch and a half off the floor. Raised it using stock suspension at the front but miss the lowness of it.
Went out in a mates car who has Tein Super Street and think this is a great setup so will be going to that in a few months plus I can get that lowness again hurrah.
Thanks for all the positive comments, its nice to receive them considering bodywise its a standard car. Here in the UK it seems you have to modify the bodywork to get it noticed by anyone.
Cheers,
Gareth

Some of the best pics I have see of a black seven. You car is very similar to mine. Kept stock from the outside and even the red calipers with even red use on the engine.
My compliments.

Thanks again for the compliments, the red and black is a good combo. Would love a set of red recaro seats the inside too. Damn these cars are sooo expensive !!!
Anyway my mate was there with his Skyline and he said 'why didnt you post any pics of my car up on the thread'. So heres a few of his car:
This one is weird, I remember it being blue when getting dark but not this blue, this is as it came out without any photoshop work (apart from the numberplate !!)
Feel free to post what you think of this motor. Dont be rude about the peashooter exhaust pipe, he had an HKS exhaust fitted this week and that looks better.
