Most likely his 7 surpasses a stock Spirit-R's performance, whereas a stock Civic with slapped on Type-R badges certainly won't match performance with the real thing. Just as long as he doesn't try to sell it as a true spirit-r in the future, then no big deal IMO.

Yes, it does surpass a Spirit R's performance, as do several Civic's with Type-R badges, Mustangs with Saleen body panels, V6 Camaro's with SLP/Z28/SS badges, **Pick car here** with **Pick another car here**. Sure, I'm a purist (I can't translate the rest of that) and I just voiced my opinion, and if you don't want to hear it, don't start a thread asking to know what everyone thinks.

It was brought to my attention that a better comparison would be those **** who call their 240's Silvia's.

Cool

r0gu3 has a very strong opinion regarding "real" Spirit R's and "fake" ones.
It really doesn't matter. It's not his car anyway.. lol

spoolin93r1,
Again, it looks fantastic. But the weight of those things is too much. Not to mention the fact you have to roll the fenders to clear those puppies.

I'll be sticking to 17's. And no where near your size rubber. I'll more than likely stick to the stock settings (235's in the front, 255 or 265's in the rear)

I wonder if they come in 17's??

Later,

The car looks fantastic. The only shame is that I can't see it in person. Very nice taste in wheels too as stated earlier.

lol @ the *** comment. someone has their panties in a wad. tell me how me putting those 2 little stickers on my car is any different than ppl with base models putting R1 spoliers and lips on their cars. or the people who put efini emblems on their usdm cars. that would be changing the car to something it really isn't. get over it dude, that's what car customization is about. guess the world has to have hardasses with no taste too

I guess everyone is going back to the barbarian days, or at least I've noticed.

Nice ride though looks great with the rims.

Well, I get really pissed off at those who call 240's Silvia's due to the fact there is a real Silvia sitting outside. They drop SR's in and put Silvia headlights/badges/taillights and think its automatically a Silvia.

Don't get me wrong, your car looks awesome (but the wheels are too heavy for my taste, I wouldn't mind some SSR Competition 17x9.5 - 15lbs!!!!). I just hold my opinion strongly, and that's all. I'm not really a fan of Efini emblems on USDM cars either. And of course, since I have no taste and like your car, your car must really be a pile of ****.

i understand your position, but it's not like i go around quoting the car is a real spirit-r. i happen to be a freak about my car and the spirit-r represents the last of the breed. the stickers commemorate that. sorry you can't handle that

nice wheels man.Maybe you can post the number of the shop where you got your wheels from.Because almost everywhere I look you cant find gram lights for 1400 bucks. The cheapest ive found em for was 1750 and that was for 17's not 18's.

the shop is called street sports. the website is www.streetsports.com

i got a slight discount because of a local forum, but it isn't much. i'll get the total price when i get back home. i got the wheels, centercaps, and shipping to my door for that cost. they beat the cheapest place i had found by like $60. mvp motorsports was the second cheapest. you'll have to look under supra packages on mvp's site to see the price

yeah, i was kinda lucky on the color match. i was thinking about the bronze but i figured that'd be kinda gross looking. i opted for the gunmetal hoping they'd be similar, and luckily enough they're almost perfect. i keep staring at the pics of the huge lip! i just love it
