PFS Intake mod
All:
Heres a mod i did to improve the PFS intake. The Intake/IC is no longer the best design out there, so i did this improvement while i spent available funds on other things...
It consists of an alluminum duct to help the intake draw from beside the rad. like other designs. You can choose to block the original duct, but i left it open. Everything is sealed up w/ rubber bulb sealing strip.
Heres a diagram and template. I wish the forum would accept a PDF, but this will have to do.

Peter:
First question - do you have an aftermarket radiator? I've considered something like this but am concerned about the fit for those of us with an aftermarket radiator (Fluidyne in my case).
Second - Is it noticeably noisier than it was before you opened it up? One of the key features in my mind of the PFS intake was the muffling of the intake noise farts that other open intakes suffer from.
Looks like you did a nice job.

Coulthard Fan,
1. I have a fluidyne as well. No issues. If you had a Mazda comp, you'd have to trim the flange, just like w/ M2 and other intakes.
2. No sound difference. That rubber bulb seals it airtight except for air coming in.
