PFS Engine Management
Hey all, I was thinking about getting a PFS PMS. I have found a good deal on one, but I just want to hear the experiences you all have had with them. Please respond only if you have used one. I have read all the bad things that "supposobly happen" but only hear those from people who have never used one. Please reply with your experience, and whether or not I should get one.
Thanks

For the right price it does the job well.
I am very pleased with mine, the car runs very smooth. I haven't been able to eliminate the 3k hesitation, but I can live with it. There is alot of support out there for it.
I like the ability to be able to switch maps on the fly, and there is a noticeable difference when you run in my case 8psi versus 12 versus 14.
If i were to do it again, I might go AEM (to be the gold standard from what I read) but a used Purple computer is much much cheaper.
Hope that helps.

I've got an older gold box, and i'm generally happy with it.
I bought it used, including the datalog software for $500 (with controller).
If you don't want to spend $1300 (or can't) for the PFC with controller, then go for this, IMHO.
Programming is very easy, just spend the $50-100 for some dyno time.
As for the 3K hes., if grounding doesn;t solve the problem and its not leaking injectors, then i suggest actually unplugging the PMC unit and driving around with just the stock ECU for a day or two. then plug the pms back in, and you should be trouble free. i spent months working on the 3K, and after grounds and injectors to RC Eng., etc... this is what solved it.
