Is This pettit racing Intercooler Any Good?

I am planning to buy a intercooler from a friend of mine, similar to the one on the picture below except its not painted black. It does include the air duct. I thought I ask you expert before I buy it. I am running the Apexi Dual intake filters and I was wondering if it would get in the way since this intercooler is bit bigger then the stock one. The only problem is that he lives in China and I am in Canada so I cant fit it or anything. Let me know. Thanks in advance.

It's ducted, so that's better than an unducted IC. It looks kinda small, though. I'd think a Greddy would be the better choice for the money.

That's the old style Pettit Coolcharge II. IMO, their best IC. There are several people on here, including me who are using them. You'll probably have to get creative to keep your Apexi filters though.

Here's an old shot of my engine bay when I had the HKS filters:

I will be paying $200 including Shipping. Is that worth it? What are they new?

BTW I paid $350 shipped for it, which is a great deal! You're getting it for a steal!

Alright, Thanks for your guys help. Its on its way to me. Do I need to change any of the factory piping? The only thing that worries me now is my Apexi intake. I think they will get in the way. Heres a link below of what those intakes look like.

It was designed to work with the stock piping, if you have a 1999 spec ypipe you'll have to do a little trimming off one or the other (I suggest the IC if you don't have the plastic crossover)

Much larger than stock much wider than stock only a bit smaller than a large mount and you can retain the stock battery, the only thing that has to go is the stock air box......but who keeps that any way.

Youre a fool not to buy it(assuming its in good condition). Even if you dont use it I know some people who would pay quite a bit more than $200 + shipping.

I tried to put in the Pettit racing intercooler in with my Apexi Intake and theres no way I can fit it. The Pettit Intercooler is wider then the oem one and the APexi Air filters get in the way. I was wondering if you guys can tell me if the HKS filter simular to the ones in the pics below will make it work?

Nope, you are screwed so you better just sell me that IC.

The HKS have alot more chance of fitting than the Apexi, those things are huge. Or else I can guarantee you that the Fighters Garage air intake kit works.
