hello... i've done a lot of searching with out soming up with a hard answer... will i experience boost creep with a pettit 3 in HF cat and my apexi gt spec 4 inch exhaust?

i have the exhaust on the car now. i also have a greddy 2 row fmic and apexi hard pipe intakes. on cold nights i might hit just under or at 11psi. nornally i will hit 10psi or just a shade over...

i have a new reman with 1800miles on it. i have stock ecu and stock DP and cat on there now.

i have a turbonetics manuel boost controller not installed yet. i know this will not stop boost creep.... i will eventaully port the wastegate but was wondering if it was necessary at this stage.

I doubt it. The downpipe creats enough back pressure to prevent boost creep. I have a high flow cat and the RB exhaust and i dont get boost creep. THe RB is more restrictive though then the GT spec but i dont think you will get boost creep.

 

i found some other people saying the same thing DD.... thanks a lot. i think i'll install it and see how she responds....
