Both of you, garages look great!
I also went with a symentric lift by autolifters - got it on Ebay for $1000 used. Doing it again, I'd go asymetric so I could open the doors. Floors are epoxy'd but have a lot of aborbant down (there's a British car on the lift leaking oil! What do you want?!?!)

Here's a pict from a few weeks ago. The Porsche is getting it's roll cage welded in (can't see the 200 amp TIG welder) You can also see the block for new race engine.

RX7 is now on the lift since it blew its engine - 15 month old Mazda reman. 3 months out of warantee and Mazda won't do anything for me. Never again!

If I can give some people advise on the lift, it's to put some big florecent lights along the walls as close to the floor as you can go. It's dark under the lifts and those lights help big time!

Lift is a Bend-Pak MX-10ACX which means 10 ton, assymetric arms, wide post. It also has low profile arms. I recommend all of these options. I bought it from some on-line company for about $2300 shipped, the hard part is getting it delivered to a residential address and getting it off the truck! I installed it myself. I can walk under the car without ducking (I'm 5'10")

It is a portable AC unit, bought off e-bay, the garage is completely insulated.

I use compressed nitrogen (tank not visible). The tank rental (6500 liter) is only $3.50 per month and it only costs $20 to fill it up. I can buy a lot of N2 for the cost of a compressor and I don't have to worry with moisture, noise, or the space it takes up.

I can also do this:

I wouldn't want my rx7 leaking oil all over my s4!

Beautiful Jag Unfortunately I'll bet that it spends a lot of time on the lift getting repaired

I would like to have a lift in my garage, too bad the ceiling is only 7 feet high....

I plan on digging a pit...
