people with auto to manual swaps, rear end?
did you guy stay with the stock 3.90 or did you track down a 4.10 rear end? how much of a differenc was there in switching?

i don't know if this is what you're looking for but here goes. a 4.10 will give you better acceleration than a 3.9 but also poorer gas mileage. your car will run at a higher rpm for a given mph. affecting the top speed is in theory only as top speed is drag limited not gear limited. some people with higher torque (v8 swap) prefer the 3.9 gear as traction is an issue in 1-2 gears. The 4.3 is an aftermarket option, and you will have to have your rearend rebuilt with that gearset, unless you can find a post 99 JDM one. I don't know if the flange for those are different. I do know the auto and manuals have a different flange. I have not heard of anyone doing a jdm rear diff swap, but have heard of some with the 4.33 gear set swap. the speedo will be off if you swap rearends from what your speed sensor is cal'd for. i'm sure i am leaving something out, but hopefully this answers some of your questions.

i did the swap and am running the 3.9 gears, ive noticed that a lot of people can take me from a stop which sucks :-( , but i can take them from a 3rd gear roll no problem
