Pedals cost?

I have done the search and people have said they got a clutch pedal and a brake pedal for an FD at around $100. My question is, where do you guys get that kind of price? I went to my dealership (big mistake) and was quoted $500 + tax. The reason I ask is because I'm doing a a 5-speed swap. I will settle for aftermarket pedals even. HELP!!!!!!!!

check out the for-sale section...there are alot of parts car and you probably could find the parts for that price. Also, I know that ihor at Gotham racing has a part car that I think still has those pieces in it.

I dunno if you'll find 'em here for $100, but try Ray Crowe @ Malloy Mazda. If your local Mazda stealership quoted you $500, I'd think Ray's price is prob somewhere around...oh...$270 (It's usually just a bit over half the local stealership's price)

The aftermarket pedals are just faceplates that go on a stock pedal (that has the actual pieces to connect to stuff). You'll need to get the stock pedal assembly and then you can mount aftermarket faceplates if you want.

I have some aftermarket plates on my pedals designed to make it possible to heel/toe downshift (don't know about the rest of you but I found it nearly impossible to do on stock pedals, the aftermarket are wider and angle the side of the gas pedal so it can be rolled on even when the brakes are floored). The aftermarket faceplates were about $60. I found the vendor on the group buy section of the forums (sadly they aren't making them anymore but -might- have some left if you call them).
