Passenger Side Window does not work anymore? Following Accident...

Ok the stupid window doesn't want to work anymore... lol....

I got in an accident and banged up my passenger fender.... just the front of it though. The drivers side a-arm took a crap too, but the body damage was in the front of the car (front bumper, passenger fender) My drivers side window and moon roof work, but the passenger side window doesn't do jack.

Curious on where I would look... doubt it's a fuse problem cause that would take out all the interior accessories... but I could be wrong...?

The motor is good, cause it worked before the accident (better than the drivers side window)

Oh, neither switch works... drivers side control or passenger side control will move the window.

Any input is appreciated.

Thanks,
-Darren-

Read this. I have the same problem. First off check the wire harness inside the door. Use a 12-volt batter and hook up power directly to each plug harness one by one while hitting the switch on each side to check for power. (this will narrow down the problem for you)
If you have the FD Electrical Manual it will show you how to do this step by step. If not, you can probably download it off this site. Good Luck, It's probably just a loose connection, D

You know I'll hang myself if it's the child safety switch. Thanks for the posts, I'll update it Thursday when I work on the car again =P

Wasn't trying to be a smart *** , but you'd be surprised how easily it gets bumped and then never noticed or thought about. I haven't disabled mine in awhile but thought it was only to disable the passenger side, I'll check th wiring diagrams for you.

This switch that you're talking about is the switch on the Driver side door right? There's not another one hidden somewhere I hope lol

Yep only one, on the drivers side. I bumped mine one time (been awhile ago) and I can't remember if it disabled both windows or just the passenger side. Looking through the electrical manual now.

That's what made me think it might be that switch, he said the drivers side was working. It might also be something in the passenger side door jam (connector)

I hope it is. I hate tracking down electrical issues, on cars our age it can be corroded or dirty contacts, corroded connectors or something that's just come lose. I like going simple first. Best of luck to you. Jack

I love how when you push both window closing buttons the drivers side rolls up hella slow and the passengers gos hella fast. To think a month ago my car was perfectly fine. Lmfao! But yeah the child safety lock is so annoying and can make you feel stupid.

You know for the moment I had my passenger side working correctly...the window would roll up slower than the driver side. But after I used the 12-volt battery and connected it straight to the motor harness it rolled up like it was brand new! (Faster than the driver side)

If I were you I'd check into that too. The connections do lose flow after a while. D
