Passenger Power Window Switch / Intermittent

I have a problem with the passenger power window switch and it works sometime and not others. Its not because of the over-ride switch on the drive door. Would apprecate any suggestions on how to troubleshoot or is it just easier to buy a replacement?

Thanks

The contacts in the switch may be worn out. You can try taking it apart and see if maybe there's just buildup of dust in there preventing the contacts from working all the time. It's obviously easier just to replace it but not exactly cheap if you can't find someone selling a used one on here. A car I used to own had the same problem with the rear defrost switch so I took it apart, cleaned it out, put it back together and it worked fine.

if you search you will see most similar cases are because of carbon deposit on the contact points. You can open it up and use an eraser or sand paper to clean the contact points.

I have personally fixed a few. A freind of mines was acting up and i took it apart. some of the connections where wires are jumped to the PCB were bad. Simple resolder and some superglue and it was working like clock work.
