Passenger power window actuator??? PLEASE HELP!
Alright guys heres one for you electrical wizzez. My passanger window will only roll up but not roll down. This happened to be after I got my FD back from the paint shop. I thought no biggy, its just a loose connection.
I got a new power window actuator for the passenger side because my old one had broken clips so it wouldnt stay in. Put it in and it still didnt work, it will just roll up. So I pull off the panel and get down and dirty.
My voltage meter says that its getting good power at the switch. It even gets good power from the second connection after that, the one that Y's off from the motor to both driver and passenger actuator. Now my only choice is to pull the motor and take a look at it and play with it. If anybody has any experience with this problem or some advice, it will be very apreciated.
Also I dont think my motor is gone because it rolls up the window just not down, am I right in this thought?
Thank you,
Jonas

I have the same problem except the window will go down but not up, and its on the driver's side. I have also opened up the door to the point where I can reach in to the door. The window started moving slower in the past few times, which leads me to believe it is seized, since the window is almost totally open now, is there a way to manually get the window to close?

Mine goes down but not up. Problem is the switch on the driver's side. The switch rocker breaks and does not make contact when going up. This is a common problem with FD's and FC's. You can either buy an old switch and piece it together or spend the $160 for a new switch.
