Passenger door screw size ??

Does anyone know the type/size of screw that goes into the passenger door, inside the upper part of the door handle behind the power window switch? Took off the door panel to get the amp fixed and found out the screw is missing. That would explain the "loose" feeling on the handle. I tried to use one similar to the screws that are on the exterior of the panel, but it wouldn't catch. Is it the same size as the screw (more like a bolt) that is at the center of the door, near the bottom? If so, anyone have dimensions so I can pick one up tomorrow? Thanks in advance.

thanks but I was thinking, in the interest of saving money, if I had the proper size and thread, I could just go to my local hardware store and get it for much cheaper.

this is plan B if I don't find out by Wednesday/Thursday. If I have to go this route, I will update this thread with the correct info.

It's going to be a semi-exotic screw, if you find something at the hardware store it probably won't fit right.

I'd get a used one from the forum, or go hit up a junkyard and find some other 90's Mazdas and get the screw there. It's almost the same screw as the bottom screw that is under the little plastic cover, I think it's shorter.

I would also look inside the door panel and inside the door itself - many times I've seen interior screws get dropped and people are too lazy to fish them out.
