Passenger door locked
Hey, all,
My two seater is currently a one seater- the passenger door lock seems to be stuck in the locked position. I pulled the lock assembly out, hoping to physically unlock the damn thing, but no luck. The lock toggle in the grab handle moves just a little but not enough. I'm really stuck. Anyone have any idea? I've had this car for ten years as a daily driver and ,as a consequence, been pretty deep into the systems, but this one has me stumped.

It sounds like your latch is failing, have you tried removing the cable at the lock toggle and pushing on it? (is that what you said you did?) If that doesn't work try following the cable back into the door and finding the lever that it attaches to and moving that. If that doesn't work go to your drivers side door remove the latch study how the lock and latch mechanism works and then use that knowledge to unlatch your door and then replace/repair the latch. Or you could just take it to a mechanic and let them deal with the headaches. anywho good luck
