Passenger door lock doesnt lock drivers side?

Hi Everyone:

I was repairing my keyhole light on the drivers side doorlock yesterday and I noticed something wierd. I locked the door from the outside on the passenger side and the door locks fine on the passenger side, so I went around to the drivers side to make sure the car was locked on the drivers side..it was still unlocked. If I locked the door from the drivers side, it locks both sides as expected. I was wondering if this is normal or somethings faulty.

I did a search, but I've only found threads about problems locking both doors from the drivers side and not the passenger side.

That's normal. Only the driver's side locks the passenger side but the passenger side doesn't lock the driver's side.

Do you have a parts list (numbers) or write up on how you did it ?
