Question Passenger Door Handle finally snapped

Well, after tinkering and lubricating, the pasenger exterior handle finally snapped off on the front of the car side.

But, now -- the door opens normally? It had been a couple of pulls to get it open before, but since it snapped on the front side, it opens just fine.

I'm thinking about using JB weld to reattach the front side and hope the "opening" thing will continue to work.

Anyone else had this happen?

Only the FDs that were built in Hiroshima seem to have this problem
