OK Parting Out?

I was thinking about parting out my 1993 Mazda RX-7. Anyone that has done this...just curious was it worth it. I havent' driven it in about 3 years. It had a radiator leak...I took off the leaky radiator and ordered a new aftermarket one. I never got around to putting it back on. Good thing I have other daily drivers

This is just a thought, so don't start requesting parts. I just wanted to hear from others that have parted theirs out. As is, I think I would have to spend another $5-6K to have it perfect for me.

I need to have it tuned, I need an AC system put in, I need to get a paint job and straighten up minor dings and dents from being a 15 year old car.

The more I think about it, I think I will just keep it and save some money to complete it. I need to quit buying new cars and motorcycles and start finishing up project RX-7, aka garage queen

So anybody in OKC got the hook ups on a paint job
Think Rotary Performance of Garland, TX will take care of the tuning and AC install, I always use them for the major things...

I have so many new parts waiting for installation too I miss the REX.

Apexi front bumper
99 spec rear spoiler and
what everyone wants a brand new Racing Beat dual tip exhaust
New flush mount headlights to replace the RE Amemiya sleek headlights

But feel free to chime in on your parting out experience if you have any.

I think its just a bad idea to strip a straight car for parts - unless its a real dog.

Part out a wreck, sure... but not a straight car.

Thanks for the replies. It's not a dog...and it's definitely not stock

XS Engineering T04S Single turbo kit
3 inch straight through exhaust from turbo back
Blitz FMIC
Apexi Power FC
Pulley Kit
Jacobs Rotary Pro Pack
Blitz Dual Scramble Boost Controller
17 in Yokoham Super Advan Racing rims
JDM taillights and sidemarkers
Widefoot swaybar mounts
Tokico Illuminas and PFS springs
Suspension Techniques F&R sway bars
RE Amemiya Sleek Light kit

Those are on the car off the top of my head...sure I have left a few things out...

To be installed...

4 New Blitz 1300cc injectors to be installed and tuned
New 99 spec spoiler
New APexi Front Bumper
New Racing Beat dual tip SS exhaust
New headlight kit from a group buy a few years ago
New floor mats too

OK...no more new cars (although I do want an Escalade, but gas prices are making that decision easier to put on hold) or motorcycles....save funds for RX-7

I almost sold it for $12 K to my wifes nephew but couldn't pull the trigger on my baby.
