Not sure if it will fit for the FD. Oh and its fake carbon (well at least it is on the Miata).

for sticker and logo, yeah that is alot. Plus that is that Carbon fiber look vinyl adhesive crap. You can always tell between real CF and fake stuff, the real CF has a 3D effect that cannot be duplicated with that checker board vinyl. I take it that is a replica and not real MS? I wonder if the back of the stock mirror comes off. Just another thing for me to make. I will cover mine with real CF, thanx for the idea.

 

Can't be used on your FDs - only on 96- as they changed the mirror (has two stays, instead of one).

Yea I've seen that. I was considering bringing one over, but I'm not quite sure what kind of market there is for 'em. I know JT used to list it on his website for the longest time, but dunno if he sold any...

Jason, that's real genuine Mazdaspeed. They make full interior CF-like trim too, but it looks hella cheap and fake like the rearview mirror.

Since we're on the topic of mirrors...check this out guys. FEED makes an electric/electrochromatic auto-dim rearview for the FD. It's about $200.

That is sweet. Ramy I know they need to make that look better for those prices. I bet I can just as easily make a cover for "our" mirrors, but like he said if you got holes burning. I am working like a man with 6 arms right now. Just wait. I love that mirror but who is actually going to be that close to even matter, maybe in traffic.

 

I have a GM SUV autodim/compass/ext temp rearview mirror in my Blk FD. I'll try to get some pic of it later

 

Yea I remember you mentioning that in a post once Phil. I want pics!! And how complicated was it to wire that baby in (assuming the autodim/compass/ext temp features still work)?

 

SUVs always used to blind me when they were behind me, traffic or not.

IDK Rich, I like it, but I think you should leave your interior the way it is. Unless of course you decide to get Spirit R seats could spend $90 a much better way I think.

Hey Sonix, are you out of carbon fiber or out of carbon fiber when I'm asking to get a part done? I know this is a small piece and can be done with the scraps you have laying around but, when a carbon piece is posted or for the matter, a piece you like, you always comment on it about doing it in carbon but, you're out of carbon. What's the deal bro? My money is good. I'm black but it was'nt my fault what Kobe did to that white girl. Come on son, I would like som parts done. I have a roll of plain wave carbon sitting in my garage. Would rather the 2x2 but this will have to do if supply is short.

That was funny. Yeah its a hit or miss right now. Most every supplier I have cannot get any cloth and they don't know when. I just order and if it comes, then I am lucky, if not I have to wait. I have enough to do a little something, but I have to monitor the situation on a daily basis. I think it is very well known that there is a worldwide shortage. All because of the Gov, and airline companies using it to build there jets. Jack, why not!! I am just going to pick up and extra mirror and see what I can do. Maybe I can get a real good overlay, I don't like they stick on overlays, but seems to be the only logical explaination. Chinaman, when your ready man, I am probably the easiest guy to work out a deal with, so LMK. BTW, just like Jack said, I can't get any colored kevlar fabric (blue, red, yellow) except dark green and orange so I have to wait to do Jack up, he is going blue to match the MB FD. I have a feeling when Herblenny sees the blue, he is going to be up on that for his MB FD. Thanx
