Parking brake Q's

Little background info, My car has been sitting for about 3 weeks because my ankle is broken. There is some rust on the rear brake rotors. When I disengaged the P brake it didnt unlock, unknown at the time to me. I started to back the car up the rear brakes made a poping sound then rolled back.

Anyone have any ideas whats going on? I was hoping its just the rust on the brakes but thought i would see if anyone else has had the problem. Thanks

Yes, just the pads rusted onto the rotors. A few miles and you're golden, again. Expect some noise during braking for a little while.

speaking of parking brakes "sticking"... my parking brake light turns on when Im kinda gettin on the gas a bit, or maybe when Im taking turns and accelerating out of them. I can't figure out how to repeat the effort, it does it when Im doing "spirited" driving in a matter of words. Anyone know whats going on?

ok, my brakes squeal a lot, but the pads don't seem terribly worn. I am going to replace all of them anyways for good measure. I do get a multiple clicking type of noise every now and then as I come to a stop as well, and I can feel tiny clicks in my brakes. Not to be confused with ABS clicks, its when Im barely on the brakes, then start to get on them a bit more as I come to a slightly sharper stop. I noticed that there are screws on the outside of the calipers that are loose. They hold the brackets in place. Pulling on em a bit or just jiggling them makes a sound similar to what Im hearing when I brake. I used to get a clank sound, but for some reason I haven't heard it in a really really long time now. I can't imagine that the brakes just fixed themselves.
