Painting primered 99 spec bumper

Question for the body guys,

I recently picked up the oem 99 spec bumper from corksport. Its already factory primered. Wondering if I should add another layer of primer then basecoat or just basecoat it. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks

Depending on fit, if you need to reshape it, then you'll need to re-primer it. If the fit is spot on, then you'll need to do the proper "rough" wet-sand to promote a proper adhesion to the paint. If you're not a cheap person (I sometimes am) you can use a higher quality base primer as assurance that the job is done right. Nobody likes to paint more than once...
