Paint or Injectors

Which would you guys prefer. New paint or an upgraded fuel system (i.e. injectors and secondary fuel rail and tuning for 14 psi)? I don't know which one I want. All the bpu's have been done, i.e. dp, mp, catback, fmic, intake, fluidyne, ast, pfc, tuning (for 12 psi), boost controller, non-seq., fuel pump only.

I have some cash to spend and just can't make up my mind. I just want some thoughts from the forum. Eventually, both will happen, but for now, it's one or the other.

Just some pics of the car. No comments about a front lip. I have it, and I just need time to put it on.

cost of fuel system upgrade -- $330-$700
cost of GOOD paint job -- $3k and very up

I don't how this could possibly be a real decision for you.

Everything I've read and been told about the current mods you have I would think that you're pretty good for tuning at 14psi. You may need to upgrade injectors but you can get the injectors you need for less than $350. A really good paint job, even by someone you know, should run ya 2k or better...unless you plan on doing it yourself which you did not mention. So if you already have enough money for the paint job, round up another $350 and do both

Yup do the inside - motor first. Why let a paint job go to waist when other techs are going to be working on it soon ?

Paint is the last thing I will do

Oh , bye the way car look great so far. Red does fade fast but the car does look good

I bet a good clay bar and some wax would do wonders to the exterior. Also, some Simple Green and Armor All to clean up the engine bay. Spend the real money on the performance mods first.

Even Maaco runs 1.5K+ now. The one here dosent offer anything lower than the mid range package, so its basically just another paintshop.

Maaco sux ***** man. I know a some people in the body shop business. I just pay for paint. I help them out, and they help me out. So, that's my delema. Painting price: +/-$1000. Fuel setup and tune: +/- $600.

Why not flat and polish the whole car and see what comes out like???

Then go from there. Personally I would go for the engine first and then start the bodywork.

Why are you asking other people on what to do with your own car? Do what you think would be right for you.
