FL Which paint for exterior door handles?

We have a number of chips on the black area around the exterior door pulls. Has anyone found a good match for the paint there? Looks like an almost flat black.

thanks for any help

Chrome!

Black is probably the easiest color. I wanted to try chrome but i think it would be to much. A dark gray would look nice I think.

Duplicolor black bumper trim paint works well and holds up if you prep the surface properly. Also works great on interior plastics and windshield wiper arms. They make 2 blacks, one in a green label and the other with a blue label. One is shinier but I don't remember which is which. I like the flatter finish better.

There were allegedly two different blacks used for the door handles. One which was a glossy black and one which was a flat black. I can't confirm this, since every FD I've seen (all 2 of them) has had glossy black door handle assembly's.

I guess your best bet would be to take a paint chip to the body shop and have them run it through the spectrometer.

when i got my car painted, they were painted BB like the rest of the car. it looks really good acyually. probably the only color it would look good in. i would be mad if my FD was VR and they came back the same.

I plan on getting mine wrapped in CF or get the carbon fiber covers by evo-r. I think I will paint my wiper arms though because the paint is half gone and the aluminum is showing through. I saw a really cool "graphite grey" that I think would look pretty good on the interior plastics until I get them wrapped in CF.

semi-gloss black to me seems the best for the door handles, flat makes it appear "aged"
