overheated RX7

if i was to over heat my RX7 the first thing to go would be the water seals correct,,,, what is the likely hood of engine damage and if so what sort of damage are we looking at?
are we looking at warped housings or side housing?

Possibly warped housings, how bad did you overheat the engine, is it seized? Coolant seals are probably toast, warping of the housings is fairly common.

its just something im working on,,,i bought a jap car with toasted engine,, fixed all seals but now i have a slight misfire on tick over,,,drives fine but every now and again the front rotor floods out and i have to dry the plugs out before she will restart,, (new spark plugs,, ECU codes all clear).. all i can think about is,,,,was all them housings and side plates ok,,,,is early days yet there on new rotor seals so maybe running in will improve it... what you think glass man?

Did you check all the clearances and tolerances? Which parts did you reuse?

used all the old housings which looked fine no scores or scratches,,,although didnt check for warping (not sure how to do this) same with side housings.. old rotors used all looked good again,,,the engine only had 50 000 miles on it,, all looked good to me,,,just blown water seal..
ive put new tip seals,,,side seal corner seal,,,oil seals,,,water seals,,,
weird thing is when driving it drives perfect,,,, but its a bit tempromental ,, if i blip the throttle it sometimes fires down the exaust.. and like i said front rotor floods out sometimes.. like it did today,,,started it ,,tried to drive away and rotor just flooded
