Put a new thermostat in. NOW. Running the car with no thermostat will certainly cause overheating because it is what is called a bypass system.

First off, do have a temp gauge or are you just seeing the coolant come out of the overflow tank?

Are you using an AST or is it eliminated? What coolant pressure caps are you using? Have you pressure tested the cooling system?

Doubtful.

My recommendations:

1. Use an aftermarket temp gauge to verify what temps you are actually seeing
2. Pressure test your cooling system

Not necessarily. It could be combustion gas causing that and not merely heat.

Ok, you don't seem to be listening. You need to do what I said up above:

https://www.rx7club.com/showpost.php...98&postcount=6

Doing these will help troubleshoot exactly what the problem is.. I'm not saying it is combustion gas. I'm just saying there are a few things which can cause the coolant to push out of the overflow tank. At some point, you are going to have to start troubleshooting the issue with the suggestions in this thread and at least rule out what is not the problem by testing.
