over 1 bar boost on stock turbos???

tonight i went for a drive with my brother, we went for a little drive and tonight we took my fd out for a spin. well what happen was that in 3rd he floored it and once again the boost went up very quickly to 1-1.3 bar boost and stayed there, it did not go dip down or anything, it just stayed there. i noticed that my air/fuel ratio seems to be fine, infact it was in the rich, so what is going on here? theres no way these turbos are stock right (its still a twin turbo setup)??? also whats with there being no fuel cut, does this mean the ecu has been modded/reprogramed? also i would like to mention he did not go over 50% throttle and that he says that it seems to him that the car pickes up really fast, the boost builds really fast, but there is no real throw you in your seat type of speed/acceleration in the midrange rpms. this may be due to him having shut down so early in the revs cuz we were already over the speed limit (due to too many cops). Does anyone know what is going on here?

Also i was wondering if anyone knew anything about how to connect a shift light to a fd? where are you soppose to connect it to and what types/brands of shift lights are compatible with fd and would your recommend?

Another thing I was wondering about was if changing your tranny fluid in a manual car would help any with the grinding im hearing in my 4th to 5th gear shift. (yeah, i already know its the syncro, i just bought the car though so it wasn't me who keep misshifting!!!)

one last thing, if anyone knows what the letters on the terminals of the starter stand for (in the service manual they are the B, M, and S terminals), could ya let me know?

thanks

MODS: full 3" straight pipe, intercooler, cold air intake, and a **** load of boost (too much)!!!

P.S. A full 3" straight pipe ain't that loud, i hear civics that are louder!

I would make sure there isn't any kinks in your boost gauge vacuum lines. It MIGHT just be a faulty boost reading. If you didn't really feel any neck-snapping power with that much boost, maybe you're not making that much boost? Also, check where it is tapped off the manifold?

Are you still on the stock ECU? With your current mods, I would definitely look into some ECU/fuel mods.

- You definitely need to upgrade your ECU as soon as possible. Try going in the group buy for the Power FC if it's still going on. I highly recommend getting the Power FC and Commander.

- If your inj. aren't upgraded, you are pushing them too much. If you are running with the stock setup 13 psi should be the most you should run for now. Running with a midpipe usually causes the boost creep. There are a few things you can do to try to eliminate the boost creep. 1) Get rid of the midpipe and get a high flow cat, which I don't recommend 2) Change the pill on the wastegate. 3) Port the wastegate, some people still see a boost creep when they port it, however, it's not too bad. 3) Get an extremely good boost controller.

- I have been dealing with a boost creep for a few months and I didn't port the wastegate and I kept my midpipe. I finally solved my problem by changing the pill and getting the new Blitz boost controller.

- As for a shift light, I'm using Auto Meter Pro-Shift light. Here is a link that shows you how to install a shift light.

Good luck with everything.

its ok, i would say it would be stupid to boost a fd over 1 bar on stock stuff too. the thing is that my air/fuel meter seems to be always in the rich, even under the hardest of boost, the guys i bought it from may have switched out the injectors with bigger ones. im not sure though...
