One member here already has them. There was a thread about them about 2 weeks ago. Apparently they do flow more then the pre-99 fans. Jason of JT-Imports, I think, was going to get some data posted to confirm the additional cooling information.

Interesting. If they work better, you can't beat the price.

So what's the results of these? Improved cooling? Salespersons aside, are they worth the money? What's the install like? I am very interested but would like some answers first. Thanks.

Yes they flow more. That doesn't matter since we will always get the naysayers who will always post a negative comment about it.

Good to hear.. I assume it's a pretty simple install? Just take off the old, put on the new? No wiring required?

You have a hell of a significant other there, Godzilla....

EDIT: On a more serious note, the 99-fans may be a good upgrade or just a good replacement setup. Getting good data on this will be very difficult. It would be much easier and accurate to try to get numbers from Mazda for the flow rates. Although, it would be hard to believe that they flow less than the 93-98 fans, but perhaps likely that they flow the same.

Mahjik isn't actually a person. "He" is a computer generated and controlled moderator.

"Twin cooling fans' blades have also been increased, one from five to seven blades and the other four to five blades, while the high-speed electric motors' consumption has been changed from 160W to 120W." This is off the RX7 NZ site.

ok well maybe 7 blades flow better at lower speeds... so to decrease the amperage they increased the blades? anyway, why dont they just use 2 7-blade fans for ultimate cooling then?

And godzilla: .... WOW, who IS that girl? why dont half naked chicks pose with my car? jesus!

Yes that's exactly where I got the info from and requested Jason look into it for me. He has several prices, fan blades only, fan plus motors, not sure if he can get or we need the plastic thing they mount in to. Since 75% of cooling is done by water and only 25% by oil, I think this a must do reliability mod! Go jt-imports Go

Still waiting for the people who think this is dumb to post their 2 cents. I will be purchasing both the fans and the motors from JT.

I was actually looking at fan's that were aftermarket and thinner and flow more but the search kind of ended cause i didn't feel like going through all the trial and error fitment stuff with brackets. Maybe later though.
