Only hitting 5 psi after non-seq (have searched for 2 days)

I had rx7store.net do my non-seq mod, last summer. When I got the car back I put my boost controller back one, just a home depot manual one. I was only peakin 5 psi and it would drop off to like 3ish. Figured my BC was bad, but on a turboxs one from a buddy of mine. Still the same thing happens, anyone have any similar problems. What should I do?

if you have an open exhuast (dp, mp, catback straight thru type) you might have a sticky or malfunctioning tca, double check to make sure this is wired open correctly. also, what kinda nonseq mod did you have them do? did they port wastegate? is your wastegate working correctly?

If you still have the stock intercooler then you may want to check the s pipe that connects to the bottom of it because the middle hose has a tendancy to crack. This happened to my buddies fd and we just fixed it today. It also happened to mine last week. The break in the hose is very hard to see unless you take it off and carefully inspect it. They brake right along the vertical seem of the hose. From the sounds of your cars symptoms there is a good chance this may be it, it is exactly what both of our were doing.

They did the poor man's way I guess. No portin was done, and I have the TCA wired open with a coat hanger. Might get it welded just to make sure. How would I check the wastegate?
