Okay guys, need your help please. Boost Pressure Problem.
This may need to go in the single section, but I'm freaked out and I knew it'd get more hits here.
I have a brand new engine (~400 miles), a brand new RX6 turbo, and appropriate new peripherals...all installed and pre-tuned (before break-in) by RP.
The car had dead A/C when we drove it back from Dallas and has been in and out of two different shops for the past six weeks getting the A/C fixed (it was a work when there is free time situation, and the work was free).
Anyway, I picked it up yesterday and didn't really drive it proper until this evening and...low boost. I should be boosting ~7 psi, but I'm rarely moving over ~1 or 2 psi even when I really nail the throttle (while still keeping it under 4K RPMs).
I can hear what I'd call a "leaking" sound from the engine compartment when I'm accelerating and my BOV isn't discharging like it was when I picked it up from RP. I'm also hearing a random "pinging" sound (sounds like someone dropping sewing needles on thin aluminum).
On top of all of this, the shop disconnected my hood release and I haven't been able to properly reconnect it and open the hood yet.
Grrr...
Help.
TIA y'all,

Banned. I got OWNED!!!
i would guess a vacuum leak somwhere not letting the wastegate close all the way to hold boost...BOV wouldnt be doing crap if there wasnt enough pressure to open it. Time to bust out the carb cleaner and straws...
