ok, the rx7 is totalled... parts anyone?
Hey everybody,
Well it looks like I'm out of the RX-7 life for now! For all that didn't hear, I hit the wall a week ago, basically giving my car some major body damage on the front and back fenders on the driver side of my car. Body damage estimate was $17K. The insurance has totalled my car and is willing to sell it back to me for $2500. I'm willing to get the car and part it out granted there is enough interest in parts and that I can make a little bit of change on the side for me. So here's what I want to do... I'll compile a list of requests for parts from you guys until 7PM HST today... Just list the parts you want and the price you'll pay (with shipping from Hawaii) and I'll add up the highest bidders. If the total comes out to more than $5K I'll highly consider parting out the car. My car was a 93 Touring with a mild steel DP and Greddy muffler, tokicoo 5 way shocks, Eiback springs, HKS intake. I have an Autometer AF, Greddy exhaust gas temp, and Greddy boost gauges, Greddy turbo timer. All of the interior parts are in prety good shape. The engine was pretty much undamaged as far as I know. Small parts like alternators etc. would be your best bet though, because I don't plan on starting the motor to check it out. So let me know what youguys think and if you are interested in any parts... See ya!

Montego Blue Exterior, tan interior. pretty good shape. no peeling on the interior. I have some pics of the damage but haven't had time to scan them. The car is intact parts-wise and I'm willing to take just about any offer for any parts... highest bid of course. Please post prices for what you want (and include a fair amount for shipping) I'm trying to figure out if this is going to be worth for me to do this. I already am getting paid in full for the car, so this is just gravy... so as long as my total reachs a certain amount, I'll be willing to devote a couple of weeks picking apart my car.... but the insurance company has to know by tomorrow. Thanks!

I will take the black panels on the tan doors, the piece that surrounds the controls, as well as the "cup" thing that the interior door handle sits in, I will pay $35 shipped for both pieces,

non-bose rear cover/carpet
If the car was not a touring model IE no Bose Holes) Ill take the rear deck cover and carpet from the rear area, and the long skinny defroster vents from the dashboard if they arent all cracked like mine.

Ok, Once again no "dibs" ... and I need prices that you guys are willing to pay for these parts... I'm already paid off on the car.... I actually made exactly what I paid for the car, so I'm doing this for love, and I know how rare and difficult it is to get cheap parts. If I don't get a list of parts + shipping totalling $5K, I don't think it's going to be worth my time (it's costing me $2.5K just to get the car back, shipping parts to you will be at my own expense + my labor and storage while I do this). So please include how much you are willing to pay. I'm willing to give all kinds of great deals as the parts have no meaning at this point, however, If everybody is going to rape me, everybody is going to lose out on this meaty carcass. So, please be reasonable knowing the above facts and include how much you are willing to pay +shipping, the timer is counting down... You guys know the value of the parts, and me being one of you also know, so I'm not going to be giving away parts $5 at a time. The car at this point has all of it's parts and seems to be pretty much ok except for the extreme body damage, so if you need something, I more than likely have it. The interior is in pretty good shape. 7PM HST the bidding will stop. You can see from the previous posts how my list is developing, so if you guys are really interested in cheap parts, speak now before my car is sent to the wreckers on Tuesday afternoon. Thanks again, and I'll let you guys know on my decision (whether to salvage the parts or not) later...

Also, the car just turned 61K miles on a rebuilt, I'm the 3rd owner, it is a touring model, the interior looks pretty good, no cracks, peeling, etc and it is all complete... the only thing messed up is the driver seat, but I think we all have that same wear spot, and the steering wheel (driver airbag blew) Any more questions, let me know...
