He was an influencial member of the rotary community in southern california. He helped and did a lot of work for fellow rotary owners. He was driving on the canyons with his white FD and hit a nail in the road, causing him to collide with an oncoming car, a girl driving a saturn. He passed away there.

Is that a proven fact? that he hit a nail?
From the n.p., the witnesses say "he was driving quite fast, overtaking other cars, lost control..."

I don't think a tire explodes when you hit a nail, i think it loses air gradually... correct me if I'm wrong. I've punctured alot of my tires and some of them went unnoticed after a few hours.., some went completely noticeable after about 5 minutes of the impact going about 60+mph..
