Am about to pounce on a 1993 R1 with 44k miles and the inspection revealed that it is in pretty good shape mechanically. Usual stuff with a worn bushing or two, worn plugs, and leaky oil filter mount o-rings. Report also stated "turbo output duct oily". Will talk with the mechanic in the morning but was wondering what the significance of this is? Search did not help me much here.

sounds like the usual stuff of old turbos. from what I gather its your rings on the turbo leaking.
