? oil removal from rat's nest vaccuum lines ?
Since my track day, I know my rat's nest vaccuum lines have ingested some oil, which could be contributing to some slowly working solenoids.
Is there any easy way that I could hookup some brake cleaner to ONE or TWO lines while the engine is running/idling to "ingest" some brake cleaner/degreaser into the rat's nest vaccuum lines ?
If so, what are those lines ?
I thought about the PCV valve, but that would go into the intake as well. Perhaps one of the pressure tank lines, and the vaccuum tank line ?
I'm sure I'd also have to rev the engine to past 5000 RPM to open-up the plumbing that is activated past 4500 RPM.
I really don't want to pull ALL rat's nest lines!
Thanks,
:-) neil
BTW: is this a SAFE thing to do, or would I cause something worse to happen ?

Brake cleaner, degreaser, carb cleaner, etc is really harsh stuff. I wouldn't be surprised if it attacked the plastic of the solenoids.
IMO, it's best to remove and blow out all the gunk in the lines controlling the turbo solenoids. So if it's a line attached to the turbo control solenoid (vaccuum and pressure), charge control, charge relief, wastegate, or precontrol, clean it out. Otherwise leave it alone.
