Question Oil Pump Replacement Question

Hey,

I checked the tollerances on my FD's oil pump last weekend and they are very marginally out on the clearance between rotor and housing, So im gonna go ahead and replace it.

I looked it up on the MazdaEPC system and boy is that mega money, it comes to like $250+ for the whole assembly.

The Rotors and the shaft are big money so im thinking about just replacing the housing and then Rechecking the tollerances. Anyone have any experience replacing these parts so i dont have to wait twice for weeks while mazda parts to scare up the rest of the old boy.

Many thanks for any assitance and all the best !

Why not eliminate the pump and start pre-mixing?

errrm i think he means the oil pump for the engine not the metering pump ...not wise to eliminate..
honestly replacing just the housings is half the job,,, will make your tollerances closer,,,,but not what i think you want,,,id replace both,,
