Question Oil Leaking - Pan or Rear Seal? Need Help

I have a slow leak near the rear of the engine. It kind of looks like it's coming from the rear seal or the rear side of the oil pan. I can't really tell. I've already cleaned it up and monitored the leak.. and it's damn hard to pinpoint where it's leaking from.

A question for you guys... how common is it for the rear seal on this engine to leak oil? it was pretty common on honda's but i'm not sure about the Rotories.

Also, if i drop the sub-frame to change the oil pan gasket, will that throw my alignment off?

More than likely it's the rear main oil seal and can you check that by looking for black goo on the inside of the bellhousing by looking though the transmission viewport. In my case I was leaking from the rear main oil seal, the oil pan, and the rear stationary gear O ring.
