Oil Leak - Where can it be coming from?!

I have an oil leak but can't figure out where it's coming from. It spurts out whenever I accelerate. At first I thought it was the line to the turbo, but replaced that and it's still leaking. Anyone have any experience with this problem?

Rear main seal, oil filter pedestal, turbo oil lines, etc. can all leak. You've got to take a look to see where the oil is coming from.

Is a little leak in these areas normal. FWIW I have seen a car with no leak at all.

Oil leaks suck. I have one myself, and I know it's because of the turbos. You can see small amounts of oil in the intercooler elbow. The oil pan is also soaked with a layer of oil. There is so much, I can't pinpoint where it is coming from yet. As soon as the weather clears up, I have to find it.

Oil in your IC pipe doesnt mean your turbos are going bad. There is a vac line that runs from the oil filler neck to the primary turbos intake pipe. Its one of those 2 lines on that intake pipe right in front of the turbos.

Anyway, you get oil blow by into your intake system from that vac line.

Now, this isnt to say your turbos arent bad, just that oil in the IC pipes is not really a hard sign of turbo faliure.

No, but I know you get the rear main seal set from www.rx7.com (Rotary Performance) for about $20. Oil leaks suck...Mostly the smoking and the smell

One of the best ways I got to find mine was to take it to a friends garage, stick it up on the lift and spray it fown with degreaser then wash it off then wait for it to start trickling again...somewhat helpful but not always

Did you over-fill it with oil?
