WA oil leak and weak boost. any ideas?

so i went down and picked up a t67 single turbo fd this weekend from Arizona. the seller told me there was a oil leak and i had no problems with it the entire drive back to Washington. today i drove the car and all the gagues and power fc were reading fine but as soon as i reached the point where i usually would hit full boost the max psi it would run was 1. im not sure if this is caused by the oil leak but if anyone has any ideas please let me know. thanks.

It sounds like you may have a boost leak.

As for the oil leak... can you visually inspect where the oil is coming from? "oil leak" is a bit vague, haha. Is it external on the engine somewhere? Leaking on the ground? Oil in the intake?

do you hear a whooshing noise from the engin area when you try to boost. i agree it sounds like a boost leak, or maybe your wastegate is stuck open. most turbos will still boost, they just start adding a bunch of oil along with the boost. or the turbo wheels could generate enough slop to start rubbing. pull the air cleaner off and see if you are able to spin the wheel by hand. (engine off)

the car has a small leak coming from the oil filler neck. that is where the leak is from
