oil leak looks like it is coming from oil filter

I just installed my APEXi Power Intake last night, and everything went well. I left for school this mourning at 7:10am and came home around 4pm (baseball practice). There was no oil on the garage floor when I got back. I left the car in the garage untill about 8:30pm when I took it out to get some milk at the store. I come back and there is a HUGE puddle of fresh oil in my garage!! The puddle was probably the same size or a little bigger than a standard sized place mat. I looked under the car and noticed it was mostly coming from the middle of the car on the driver side. So i popped the hood and looked around with my flashlight. I noticed that the highest point at which oil was visible was around the bottom of my Oil filter, and from there it dripped all the way down to my chasis (sp?) under the car then to the garage floor. What else could it be? I had the oil filter and oil changed about 2k ago. I was gonna change it this weeked, but first i would like to know if the oil filter is at fault, or if its possibly something else? Please let me know if you need anymore info to diagnose the problem. Thanks!

yes the 2 o-rings under the filter tend to get old and break, I too have the same problem but my leak is very slow and next oil change I plan to change them. Anyone know the part# for these o-rings? How much?

if your oil pressure is too high, the weakest link is the oil filter you know.
