Oil leak @ turbos?

Can any one help me determine the cause of my oil leak? There has been an increasing amount of oil build up over the past year in the area surrounding the turbos. I know that this request is kind a vague so any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Matthew Walsh

Could me couple of things, turbos are old ready for rebuild, a bad oil line or one of those brass O rings, motor seal etc..
Also a very important and first thing you should check is the PCV valve, they get stuck open or closed sometimes, if is stuck closed (like it happen to me before) there will be to much crankcase pressure and at your turbo surounding area get wet and smell like burnt oil and you car will smoke lot more on start up and even when warm a bit.

Different car but same problehem. My turbo looked for all the world like it had lost an oil seal. My mechanic was sure that I was about to lose an engine. I wasn't convinced, so I took the hoses off (turbo to intercooler, intercooler to throttle body) and cleaned them out with a wrag and carb cleaner. I reinstalled everything, and no more oil leak. Apparently the car tended to suck oil in through the pcv valve during hard cornering.

I agree with twinturbo93's idea as well, I think you should exhaust simpler/cheaper possibilities before going too extreme.

good luck and let us know how it turns out!

Hard conering means oil leaks
but 2nd could be your gaskets fromt he Y pipe to the turbos themselves, mine are a bit worn and leak a minor amount of oil.

If you're leaking oil through those gaskets^^^,... your real problem is that your Turbo(s) are probably leaking on the Compressor side. Perhaps a bad O-Ring and/or a worn Plate Seal.
