oh no... check engine light

Just put a greddy intake on my car and a couple days later my check engine light came on. Stopped the car and checked all the vacuum hoses and let the car cool off. Started it up again and it was fine. Then it happened again today. I also have an exhaust.

Is this the engines way of letting me know I'm running lean? I planned on getting a pfc soon.

thanx for any help or ideas

ps. was driving it lightly both times

next time it happens take the car home and see what code the check engine light is giving. here's a how to:
http://www.scuderiaciriani.com/rx7/engine_codes.html
pull the code and see whats wrong. like airn said, i doubt its cause your runnin lean.

both times i was being light on the throttle and it was a cool day. the fans weren't on so it had to be reasonably cool. as far as airflow goes thats all the mods i have. forgot to mention that i had a bov on but took it off the first time the light came on because i wanted to see if thats what was causing it.

thanx for ur help
